Advocating with Uganda AIDS Commission

At FIL-Center, we recognize the critical importance of collaboration in our advocacy efforts to combat HIV/AIDS and promote awareness within our community. Recently, we had the privilege of meeting with the Uganda AIDS Commission to discuss strategies for advocacy and increasing awareness of HIV/AIDS-related issues.

About Uganda AIDS Commission

The Uganda AIDS Commission is the leading government agency responsible for coordinating the national response to HIV/AIDS in Uganda. With a mission to prevent HIV transmission and ensure access to treatment and support services, they play a pivotal role in shaping policies and programs to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Our Collaboration

During our meeting with the Uganda AIDS Commission, we engaged in fruitful discussions on how we can work together to advocate for the rights of individuals affected by HIV/AIDS and increase awareness of prevention, treatment, and support services within our community. Together, we explored innovative strategies and initiatives to amplify our impact and reach more individuals with life-saving information.

Advocacy and Awareness Building

As part of our collaboration with the Uganda AIDS Commission, we are committed to advocating for policies and programs that prioritize the needs of marginalized communities affected by HIV/AIDS. Through targeted advocacy campaigns, educational workshops, and community outreach events, we aim to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote access to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and support services.

Our Shared Mission

At FIL-Center, we share a common mission with the Uganda AIDS Commission: to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic and ensure the well-being of all individuals affected by this disease. By working together and leveraging our collective expertise and resources, we can make significant strides towards achieving our shared goal of an AIDS-free Uganda.

Our collaboration, advocacy, and community engagement in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Together, we are working tirelessly to raise awareness, promote prevention, and support individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, bringing us one step closer to realizing our shared vision of a healthier, more resilient community.
