At FIL-Center, we have outlined a broad plan spanning from 2024 to 2028, focusing on improving the wellness of the transgender community and enhancing the healthcare system in Uganda.

FIL-Center aims to create a more inclusive and equitable society where transgender individuals have equal opportunities, access to essential services, and are free from discrimination and stigma. We are committed to working tirelessly to achieve our goals and make a meaningful impact in the lives of transgender communities in Uganda and beyond.
Sensitization and Awareness
Addressing the discrimination faced by transgender individuals in Uganda through awareness campaigns and advocacy efforts to promote recognition of their rights and identities.
Linking Transgender Members to Healthcare Facilities
Facilitating access to healthcare services for transgender individuals undergoing transition by establishing partnerships with hospitals and healthcare providers.
Community Trainings
Providing comprehensive training sessions to equip transgender individuals with essential skills for economic, social, and political empowerment.
Poultry Farming
Establishing poultry farming projects to generate income and provide a sustainable food source for transgender communities.
Back to School Programs
Supporting transgender individuals who have dropped out of school due to discrimination or inability by providing financial assistance and educational support.
Creation of an App
Developing a mobile application to facilitate communication and networking among transgender communities, providing a platform for support and community building.
Inclusion of the Heterosexual Community
Fostering inclusivity and building bridges between the heterosexual and transgender communities to strengthen advocacy efforts and foster positive relationships.
Leadership Training
Empowering transgender individuals with leadership skills through training programs to enhance their advocacy efforts and community engagement.
Agriculture Practice
Implementing agricultural initiatives such as maize, tomato, and coffee farming to create economic opportunities for transgender individuals and enhance their agricultural skills.
Construction of Safe Spaces
Building safe spaces for transgender members to conduct meetings and events, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
Emergency Fund
Establishing credit and savings cooperative societies to finance the needs of transgender members and communities, both locally and globally.
Charity Outreaches
Reaching out to transgender members in Uganda with food supplies, medical assistance, and other essential resources to alleviate hardship and promote well-being.
